Today Luann and I interviewed Amy Lively of The Neighborhood Café on Encouragement Café radio!
I’m moving in a month or so. For the first time in a long time I’m not going to know anyone.
I’m starting a new church. I’m living in a new state. Moving into an unfamiliar neighborhood.
I hope there is an Amy Lively in our neighborhood, but if not, maybe I can be that person, right? This interview gives you and me all the tools we need to do it.
It all started when Amy had a desire to truly “love her neighbor”.
The reality is that most of us drive in and out our garage, without connecting with our neighbors at all.
It can be an isolating way to live.
So she began to reach out, knocking on doors with a small gift and an invitation to come to her home once a week for a Bible study.
That has led to deep friendships in her neighborhood, and now she is helping women across the nation start their own friendship groups.
Listen to this powerful radio interview and share one way you might feel compelled to make a friend in your own neighborhood.
Honestly, it’s eye opening and so helpful. Listen today and then let’s talk about how you’ve connected with a friend in your neighborhood.
