It’s finally here.
My blog is not the only transformation. There’s a new mission. A new team. A new direction!
For years I’ve walked alongside women searching for healing. We’ve talked about forgiving. We’ve learned how to hold up that broken heart to God. The result is a community of strong, faith-filled women. We are single. We are married. We are younger. We are older. We are diverse. We are works in progress, and yet strong because of faith in our Savior.
We want to change the world, whether across the world or across the street.
We believe that God heals for a purpose.
We are marked by his love, and there’s a lot of women seeking that same love. We long to reach out to women who have lost their voice. To women who feel abandoned. To women who long for honest community, and raw conversations about life and faith.
This ministry is transitioning from “live free” to “Living free together.”
I have a team of nearly 50 women behind the scenes. Some are prayer warriors. Others are creative. They are helping with resources and content to share the Gospel effectively and with a broad reach. Some will step into a role of advocacy as we reach out to women with a new literacy program for refugees called, “Dear Sister.”At some point it is no longer about us, but coming alongside others to show them Jesus. http://wp.me/p4jbdw-3RU… Click To Tweet
You see, I believe that when we are healed, at some point it stops being about us. We start scooping up women who are seeking God, or hope, or direction, or perhaps come alongside a friend who is where we once were in the healing process.
If you were to ask me how I envision this new phase of ministry, it’s this:
Women standing shoulder to shoulder, following Jesus wherever he leads.
I see an army of women encouraging each other. Listening for his voice. Getting in the trenches, whatever that looks like. Loving, praying, believing together.
The new look of the blog is just the beginning.
We are working hard on the next 21-Day Adventure: Living a Life of Thank You.
That launches March 6th. This adventure will take a look at the damage inflicted by discontent, and how to discover a life of intentional gratitude. We’ll turn our thinking upside down as we take an honest look at this in our own lives, and explore practical and spiritual ways to transform the way we think and relate to others.
(Sign up below if you aren’t subscribed to the blog. That way you won’t miss a single day of the adventure.)
We are dreaming of new 21-Day Adventures and free subscriber content, resources, and tools to share the Gospel and encourage you in your faith.
I’m talking with organizations and building relationships with refugee ministries.
Community and literacy are two of the greatest obstacles for a woman who has left her homeland to find safety in the United States. Dear Sister will be an arm of this ministry that will address these issues. We hope to launch it in early summer. Sooner, if we can.
We have created a Come With Me Study, available at no cost.
This is for small and large churches, women’s ministries, coffee shop studies, jail or parachurch ministries, or for you in your private study. This came after a trip to India where I wept as I saw a lack of resources and yet a hunger for Jesus. There’s a need for professional studies that are easily accessed and free.
My next book, Come With Me: A Year of Walking With Jesus devotional will release in October, and I can’t wait to share that book with you.. @suzanneeller is offering a fun giveaway on her blog today! http://wp.me/p4jbdw-3RU #ComeWithMe Click To Tweet
Over the next few weeks you’ll see some of the website pages fleshed out as I step into this new mission.
I hope you’ll join me. I’m thankful you show up here, and that you are part of the Living Free together community.
I’m grateful for those who show up here on #livefreeThursday as we sit around the table and talk about topics that are relevant for today. We encourage and pray for each other. We aren’t afraid to talk about current topics, or what’s really taking place or what we’re thinking, but always with a heart to find Jesus at the center together.
To celebrate this transformation, I’m excited to offer a $25 gift card to Amazon and a copy of Come With Me: Discovering the Beauty of Following Where He Leads.
There are three ways to enter:
