Welcome to Day #1 of Living a Life of Thank You.
Living a life of thank you sounds sweet, doesn’t it?
Maybe you are signing up for this 21-Day Adventure because you like doing nice things. You think that we’ll be sending cards, encouraging others, and perhaps finding the silver lining in life.
Sure, there’ll be some of that, and it will be fun.
But what if I told you that living a life of thank you is one of the most powerful, life changing things you can do?
What if I told you that it could change your marriage? Your friendships? Your job or ministry? Your outlook on life?
What if I told you it could alter the direction of your life?Living a life of thank you taps into the depths of your faith. #ComeWithMe #21DayAdventure Click To Tweet
Those sound like big promises. They are true. Thankfulness isn’t just about verbal thanksgiving. It’s appreciating God’s gifts. It’s tapping into unexplored depths in your faith.
I want to make you another promise.
The next 21 days will be a lot of heart work.
It’s worth it.
Unthankfulness hurts too many of us. Daughters of a most-high God. There’s something powerful that takes place inside of us as we lean into a life of thank you.
Grab a journal. A spiral notebook will do. Keep your Bible close. Carve out about 15 minutes a day to spend alone time with your Heavenly Father.
For today, let’s talk about this promise:
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. 1 Chronicles 16:27
God dwells in strength and joy. As we begin to live a life of thank you, he makes his home in us.
He’s already in me, Suzie.
I know, friend. I do. Thankfulness just makes more room for him. He begins to dwell in our attitude. Our thought life. Our responses. Our old wounds. Our relationships.
Is there an area of your life, or your heart, where you want thankfulness to move in?
We won’t be false as we do this. Sometimes we are sad. Sometimes life is hard. Sometimes people hurt us, or we hurt others. Living a life of thank you throws open the door, like I did today, excited to see you. It welcomes God in to those places.Strength and joy are His dwelling places. Dwell in me, Lord. #ComeWithMe #21DayAdventure Click To Tweet
That has the potential to flip our heart attitude upside down.
Are you ready to begin this adventure?
