Living free together is Compassion
Imagine that you are in a new country. You’ve left behind family. Your vocation. Your culture. All you want is a safe place to call home for you, and those you love.
There are many obstacles for a refugee woman living in the U.S., but two are the need for community and communication.
Living Free Together is launching our first Advocacy project titled Dear Sister, exchanging letters with refugee women relocating in the United States. The aim is literacy, but the heart is community as both are an urgent need among women relocating to a new home, culture, and language.
We are taking our first baby steps.
Pray for this new launch and for the women involved. We have a strong leadership team in place, who are praying and working behind-the-scenes as this new aspect of Living Free Together ministry unfolds.
We have a team of women writing letters — that are vetted, prayed over, and written with literacy and relationship as the center.
If you are involved in a refugee relocation ministry or organization, or a literacy program for refugee women relocating to the United States, we’d love to connect with you.
Currently, we are receiving letters only from women and organizations that we know, to protect the heart and safety of the women receiving them.
If you are interested in knowing more, contact us with Dear Sister in the subject line.
