I sat with my cell phone in my hand reading the email, tears filling my eyes.
I love to see God work.
The email was from an acquaintance, fast becoming a friend. She’s one of six women reading my manuscript for my new book coming out next year titled The Unburdened Heart: Finding Freedom Through Forgiveness.
Her honesty was raw. She gently peeled aside the exterior to allow me to glimpse inside the turmoil she’s experienced for a long time.
But then she penned the words that showed me that God had shed a light on an area that has kept her bound.
That’s when the tears came. I love to watch that unfold, that moments when someone begins to realize fully who God is, they let Him in, and how that begins transformation.
Jeremiah 31 verse 33 says, “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
That is my prayer today.
Lord, continue to put your instructions deep within me. Write on my heart. Be my God, and I am yours.
Are you searching for instruction today?
Let God shine his gentle light in that area and write His instructions deep within you today.
My 22 year old n his girlfriend had a baby. His girlfriend already has a daughter. My son and I were always close. Now he never comes to see us. He said we have to make an appointment to go see them. He always has an excuse as to why we cant go to visit them. But his girlfriends parents keep the baby and see them all the time. When we say something about it he makes up excuses. This girlfriend has him fooled. He works to support her and then comes home takes care of baby and her daughter and cooks and cleans. His girlfriend doesnt have a job. We are broken hearted and have no idea what to do. I cant bare the thought of us not being able to be in their lives. We have been very good to his girlfriend and her daughter (who wants us to but her life but her mom is jealous
