I sat with my cell phone in my hand reading the email, tears filling my eyes.

I love to see God work.

The email was from an acquaintance, fast becoming a friend. She’s one of six women reading my manuscript for my new book coming out next year titled The Unburdened Heart: Finding Freedom Through Forgiveness.

Her honesty was raw. She gently peeled aside the exterior to allow me to glimpse inside the turmoil she’s experienced for a long time.

But then she penned the words that showed me that God had shed a light on an area that has kept her bound.

That’s when the tears came. I love to watch that unfold, that moments when someone begins to realize fully who God is, they let Him in, and how that begins transformation.

Jeremiah 31 verse 33 says, “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

That is my prayer today.

Lord, continue to put your instructions deep within me. Write on my heart. Be my God, and I am yours.

Are you searching for instruction today?

Let God shine his gentle light in that area and write His instructions deep within you today.
