Dear Suzie:
I just read your post about being quiet before the Lord. I just wanted to share with you that today I am just feeling tired with the daily fight I have to be strong. I am just crying and crying and can’t seem to shake it.
I have been strong for a long time but today I have just become overwhelmed. Please pray that God would lift my burden and lift me.
Thanks, Helen
Dear friend,
It’s hard when we have those days. One of the most powerful experiences we can have is to find hope through Scripture. Today I want to pray these verses over you.
But let [Helen] who take[s] refuge and puts [her] trust in You rejoice; let [Helen] ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over [her] and defend [her]; let [Helen] who love[s] Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits. Psalm 5:11
You will show [Helen] the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16: 11
May the God of [Helen’s] hope so fill [her] with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of her faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit [she] may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope. Romans 15: 13
Father, today will you not only lift this burden, but may joy so abound in Helen’s heart and thoughts that it surprises her with renewed life. In Your powerful name, amen.
Thank you for trusting me to pray with you. I think we can all identify with those days when it’s just a struggle to put one foot in front of the other, and prayer seems a distant lifeline. I have had people stand in that gap with me, and I am honored to stand in the gap with you.
If you read this, will you pray with my friend, Helen?
If you are struggling today, place your name in those powerful verses and promises.
I too am struggling and so is my daughter. I do lift up your friend Helen and ask GOD to touch her in a mighty way. I have put my and my daughter’s name in the place of Helen. Things are just really bad right now and I don’t know what is going to happen. Thank you for listening to me and I would surely appreciate your prayers for both me and my daughter and her daughter, who is only 6. GOD bless. Deb
I too am stuggling and so is my family. I will pray for Helen and ask God to comfort her and her daughter today. May they feel God’s presence and peace surround them. It is so hard to feel like everyday is a fight. I want to feel joy again, and know that my Joy is in the Lord, but somedays I just don’t feel it. I think Winter and Christmas can be very hard for people when life is dealing hard blows. I also pray for Deb and her family. God knows all of our situations and sees us where we are. He promised to never leave or forsake us. Lord, help us all to cling to your truths and let them sink deep within us!
I hear you, ladies. God promises rest for us as He takes those burdens. My prayer for each of you today is that you will surrender (a word that seems weak, but is one of the most powerful words as we give up what is too heavy for us to carry alone, to bring in a God who willingly picks it up and carries it for you) these feelings, these overwhelming situations, to His capable and loving hands. My prayer is that you find relief, and rest that leads to restoration for you, no matter the situation or circumstances or even the actions of others that you cannot change. I pray that you are transformed with His peace, His strength. In His powerful name, amen.
