As you reach for God right where you are today, will you do me a favor?

My beautiful mom is in surgery as I type this. It’s an experimental surgery on her lungs. For as long as I can remember, my mom has struggled to breathe, and in the last four years it’s become very serious. She’s been in and out of hospitals, and sick more days than not.

Today, I am reaching for God while I wait for her to emerge from surgery, and I am praying that she’ll be protected by His healing power. That she’ll find renewed life in her lungs. That she’ll recover quickly and safely.

Selfish, I know, to ask for prayer when you are in a walk to intimacy together. But a good selfish, as I trust this scripture.

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20 (NIV)

I am so grateful for your prayers in that quiet place you carved out for just you and Jesus. Thank you for praying for my mom.
