father

Over 4000 of you visited this blog on Friday and Saturday.

Well over 200 of you shared comments or privately emailed me. I asked my prayer team to join me and to begin to pray over every name.

Today I want to share these truths from scripture.

Write them on a sticky note.

Place them where you can see them every day.

You are loved, not because you are perfect, but because you are mine

When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love,  he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.

He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. Titus 3:4-7 (NLT)

I will fill the empty places in your heart

Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” John 7:38 (NLT)

Nothing is bigger than my love for you

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)

You are not an orphan

Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. Psalm 27:10 (NLT)

I willingly walked to the cross to heal your heart

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free . . . Luke 4:18-19 (NLT)

Your pain may have led you down the wrong path, but my arms are wide open

“So he {she} returned home to his father. And while he {she} was still a long way off, his {her} father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son {daughter}, embraced him {her}, and kissed him {her}. His {daughter} son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son {daughter}.’

“But his {her} father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him {her}. Get a ring for his {her} finger and sandals for his {her} feet. And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, for this son {daughter} of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He {She} was lost, but now he {she} is found.’ So the party began. Luke 5:20-24 (NLT)

Healing may take time, but I’m with you all the way

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6 (NLT)

You are not alone

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:18 (NLT)

I will be strong for you

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)

I am doing a new work in your heart

For I am about to do something newSee, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness.  I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)
