We believe that living our faith changes the world one person at a time. Jesus demonstrated compassion.
In the past few years, it’s been easy to get discouraged about faith. It’s easy to debate who is right, who is wrong, but what if we simply followed Jesus example and commandment to love others in His name?
That’s the goal of each COMPASSION project. To not only love tangibly, but to encourage those who are actively in the trenches making a difference.
We can all be world changers.
Join us as we bring bright smiles and a bright future to refugee children, women, and families living in NW Arkansas.
DID YOU KNOW THAT PAIN OFTEN HIDES BEHIND THESE BEAUTIFUL CONTAGIOUS SMILES?
Pain that has developed over the years because of limited diet and lack of access to oral health care in refugee camps. Even their history of torture can be the culprit behind mouth pain. While all of our refugee clients have access to basic dental care, many of them need more than just the regular cleaning or filling of a cavity.
What our newly arrived refugee clients need is extensive oral health care so that those bright smiles can help them move towards an even brighter future.
The problem is that these services — even the initial consultations — can cost several hundred dollars, and the actual procedures themselves cost thousands of dollars, an amount our newly arrived refugees just can’t afford yet. What happens is their oral health goes untreated, continues to cause pain, causes them to miss work, and can even lead to other health issues. Canopy’s clients aren’t alone in this.
ORAL HEALTH IS NOW ONE OF THE LEADING HEALTH PROBLEMS AMONG REFUGEES RESETTLING IN THE U.S.
Bright Smiles, Brighter Future: A Living Free Together Compassion Project, will help our refugee children and adults receive the oral care they so desperately need. As a result, these pain-free healthy bright smiles will move our clients towards an even brighter future here in Northwest Arkansas.

Please continue to pray for these families and for Canopy NWA. Thank you for loving these beautiful neighbors in Jesus’ name. ~ Suzie
Nancy S. had a hard year of surgeries and medical bills. She’s joy-filled, serves others, and it was our privilege to wrap around her at Christmas. The LFT family (that’s you!) raised $2000 toward provision for this family — food and financial help for medical bills.
I wish you could have seen her face. Her joy. You did this, friends! Thank you.
You helped us raise over $6731.14!
In the Summer of 2018, the LFT family partnered with Girl Set Free and founder, Amy Kratzer. Our goal was to raise $5000 to purchase sewing equipment to hire additional women and offer then a job, community, and dignity.
Girl Set Free uses fashion and design to empower survivors of human trafficking so they can be given freedom, independence and the chance at a better story.
You helped sponsor 180 women, teachers, and materials for a year-long literacy program! You are amazing!
Our Spring, 2018 COMPASSION project was to sponsor a literacy class for women in India who do not know how to read.
With your help:
- 57 one-time gifts to Mission India totaled $4,060.34
- 4 monthly gifts of $50/month
Mission India has reached thousands of women, children, and men with the gospel through literacy, children’s Bible clubs, church plants, and more.
Thanks to the Living Free Together community, nearly 300 books were placed in the hands of women in jail, pregnancy crisis centers, given to women freed from the sex slave trade, placed in the library of a prison, and were sent to specific ministries within Turkey and India.
Suzie followed 115 of those books into a jail and ministered to the beautiful residents within.
This was accomplished through the first COMPASSION BOGO (buy one, we give one) Initiative during the launch of Suzie’s Come With Me Devotional: A Yearlong Adventure in Following Jesus.
Why can’t I donate directly to you?
We choose non-profit organizations who are in the trenches. Your donations to these organizations give you confidence that they are vetted. Also, your donation is tax-deductible.
Why do you do this, Suzie?
Jesus asked us to love like he did.
He loved sacrificially.
He loved tangibly.
He loved those who were unseen and unheard. He asked us to go into the highways and byways.
I believe that when we come together to love like Jesus, the world is changed one person at a time.
