Companionship: a feeling of friendship. Comrade. Associate. Fellowship.

Is that truly possible with God?

I believe it’s not only possible, but what was intended by the Cross.

In scripture we find that God looked for fellowship before he looked for holiness or service.

But the more I think about it, the more sense it makes. What would happen if I served out of fellowship or companionship? What if my life was different because of such a close connection with the Savior?

I would live free. We would live free in our relationship with God.

The reality is that there are believers who have access to the most powerful Creator who do not live free. They live bound. And at times I have been one of those.

What would happen to my heart and my faith life if it flowed out of absolutely relationship with God?

To live free: Seek companionship with God.

Scripture: ‎1 Corinthians 1:9 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

Today: Try it on for size. Drop inhibitions, not-to-do’s, and simply serve and love God today for who He is.
