Have you ever met someone and you had that instant connection? I felt that way the first time I met Pat Layton. She was warm, open, funny. She was deep, but didn’t pretend to have all the answers.
She was is someone I would want to do life with.
Years ago Pat walked into a hospital to abort the child she carried in her womb.
She walked out shattered.
The hurts were so deeply entrenched that she didn’t know if she’d ever feel anything but stuck.
Pat found healing through Christ.
Out of that was birthed what she calls her “Unstuck Manifesto.” This is one part of that life changing declaration:
My past is redeemed, my present is hemmed in, and my future is secure. I am done with low living, sight walking, small plans, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly measures, faithless talk, and little goals.
I love and live by faith, lavish grace on others, lean on His presence, walk in patience, am undergirded and uplifted by prayer, and am strengthened by power.
Can you see why I love her so much? She’s one of the brave girls who ran toward Jesus rather than away from him.
For the first time she began to imagine what it might mean to live unstuck.
Unstuck in her faith.
Unstuck in her thoughts.
Unstuck in her personality.
Unstuck in her memories.
Unstuck in performance.
Unstuck in life.
Living unstuck changed everything.
It led her to this decision. Before you watch it, grab a tissue. It’s one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever heard.
As I listened to Pat’s story, I was once again amazed at what God can do. When everybody else gives up on you, when you might have given up on yourself, He is the Redeemer.
Pat has written a new book titled Life Unstuck.
In it she walks with you, sharing what she’s learned along the way, and promising you that you can live unstuck, too. She shares what it looks like to heal a layer at a time. She helps you find peace for your past, purpose for your presence, and a passion for tomorrow and all the days after that.
I wish I could sit with you all day and tell you about my friend, Pat Layton, speaker, author, founder of a post-abortion ministry, wife and mom and “G” to her grandbabies.
Instead I pray you’ll meet her in the pages of her book, Life Unstuck.
That you’ll introduce her and this message in your small group studies. That you’ll share her wisdom with a friend. That you’ll sit in your sacred space, just you and God, and allow Pat’s words and wisdom to encourage you.
That you’ll use the free resources she’s created to take you deeper as you read the book.
Today, she’s graciously offered to give away one copy to the #livefree girls who stop by her every day. Just leave a comment and you’ll be entered to win.

Father, I stand with Susie today. You peeled back the Red Sea. You brought the dead to life. You released the oppressed from their prison. That’s the God we serve and today Susie and I stand before you with open hands asking for direction, for joy, for life, for wisdom, for anointing over her life. I thank you that you are with her in this stuck place, and you will be with her as she steps out of it and into new life. In Jesus’ powerful name, amen.

I make it a habit to speak faith every day! Otherwise, I'd be so stuck in my past, and would never progress into the calling and election God has for me. I'm so encouraged by this! Connecting with you through #RaRaLinkup!
Ive watched October baby and its so moving. Kudos to those who took time to write many women’s stories. This book sounds applicable to anyone. I’ve never read one of her books so im very curious to dig into this one and would love to win a copy. Thank you
Oh, my, I watched Pat share her story and it made me teary…what a powerful testimony…her story sounds amazing 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Pat’s story is amazing! I so needed to be reminded today that God is our Redeemer and we never know how He might suddenly change everything in our lives…He takes the most painful situations, the past decisions that haunt us and the most broken pieces of our hearts and makes something more beautiful than we ever could have imagined for ourselves. No hard thing we have gone through is for nothing. I know He has a perfect plan and someday I will be unstuck, too. Thanks for the encouragement! 🙂
So many people should read this book – just an opinion based off of the title. People every where are living with the battle of feeling that they are literally ‘stuck’ in their current situation and there is no way out. God always has another move on each person’s chess board.
If I don’t win this book I will definitely be purchasing it! My whole life feels “stuck” right now. I’m tired of battling the same issues over and over and never gaining victory!
I would love to dig into this book!
I would love to live a life unstuck!
I am ready to live an unstuck life too! I know with God all things are possible. Would love to win a copy of the book.
Pat’s story is beautiful! I would love a copy of the book and continue my journey to living life unstuck.
I have small children and want to be the best mom but I feel stuck. I have migraines and low back pain that really interferes with my life and would really love to read Pat’s book so it can help me from feeling so stuck!
Life unstuck sounds wonderful. The book and real life!
I am glad that we can live our lives free and unstuck. Blessings and Congratulations Pat.
Thanks so much for sharing this, Suzie! Would love to read this book…sounds like a winner…and something we all need. Thank you for cheering us on at #RaRaLinkup!
Please pray for me to find peace and joy again. I have prayed for almost six years and I ‘m still waiting for God to set me free from the pain that was created in my life when I learned that my husband had an affair in my own home. I turned to God for healing. I was inpatient and gave up and turned to others and made huge mistakes in the process. Now I’m still searching for healing and hoping that God will hear my cry. I want to forgive so that God can forgive me too. I don’t know how to let go of the pain and anger.
I would love to live my life unstuck. I feel like I am in the same place, going through the same things all the time. I try and give it all to God, but then I’m quickly taking it back. Like what if He can’t /won’t /doesn’t want to help me out? I feel so lost most times. So, if anyone reading this would pray please. Thank you all.
