My marathon-running husband’s unexpected heart attack. A deep loss. Cancer for the second time. Three surgeries (one in the midst of this book release). A pandemic. Fighting, debates, and so much hope for change and yet uncertainty . . .
Okay, friends, let’s be real. This seems like an incredibly odd time to release a book on joy.
Except we desperately need it more than ever. The world needs to know that we are a people marked by joy, but how can they know it unless we find it for ourselves?
When I wrote JoyKeeper, I had just come through a year I still call “scarred.” It was a year where I found myself laying on the carpet, my face mashed in the fibers asking God for direction. For peace. For his presence. I had no idea that when I submitted this book to my publisher, that there was another journey ahead. One where I would get to live this message all over again.
I still am.
I discovered these 6 surprising truths about joy will hold us up when we need them most. More importantly I discovered joy that cannot be stolen. We don’t have to live, even when things are good, as if the other shoe is going to drop.
I’ve found that joy doesn’t always look like I thought it should. It’s deeper. It’s richer. It’s stronger. It gives us permission to feel sad. It gives us permission to let go of what is not ours to fix. It shows us where to go and whose we are, and how to truly live as a JoyKeeper and joy noticer.
I want to invite you to a special JoyKeeper book club.
It’s for anyone who pre-orders the book before July 13th. We’ll meet five days a week in the private FB group and go deep together. Each Friday I’ll host a live where we can chat face-to-face. You’ll receive a gorgeous Bible journaling JoyKeeper kit. We’ll have giveaways. We’ll laugh, cry, pray, and love each other well on this journey to joy that cannot be taken away.
What do you need to do?
All the instructions are on my website, but simply buy the book and fill out the form and you’ll receive all the instructions you need.

I believe joy is a perfect topic right now. What it is. What it’s not. How to live in it. How to be marked by it. How to show the world the promise of it. . .
Did I mention I’ll have one more surgery for breast cancer in the midst of this study? I may show up bandaged and healing, but with joy that I get to meet with you, sweet friend.
Let’s do this thing! I can’t wait to see you there.
- Preorder the book. (You’ll receive full access to a galley of the book while you wait for your book to arrive, so don’t worry! You won’t miss a thing.)
Mark your calendar for July 13-August 14, 2020 for the study. You can drop in and out at your convenience.
I hope you invite a friend or your small group to join you in the study.
The word for this year that God gave me was “JOY” and boy has there been anything but!! And I was puzzled by the turn of events and line in the sand deep conversations with some of my loved ones. So even though I am starting a 40 day LOVE bible study , with the ladies in my community on Zoom. Your book sounds like I need to do it!! So I am in !!!
I love that, Miriam. Just a few moments ago I was praying. I feel so invited by God to rediscover joy, along with amazing faith warriors like you. Thank you for joining in. I can’t wait to connect even more.
How can I have access to the study I’m not on Facebook ? I’d love to do this study with you. I’m still going to purchase the book regardless🥰 Praying for you🙏🏻
Julie, when you buy the book, go to my website at tsuzanneeller.com/joykeeper. There are some goodies for you there. Then contact me privately at email@example.com to let me know you purchased the book, and I’ll send you some of the items we’ll be sharing with the private FB group. <3
Thank you Suzie! A joyful study is what I need.
So excited!! Got my book preordered and can’t wait to read and study. It is coming at the right time in my life❤️
I think we all need this, sis.
I work long hours. I’m guessing it’s recorded??? The live chat I would miss 😟
I want to join but I work long hours. I’m guessing it’s recorded??? The live chat I would miss 😟
Sharon, it’s come when you can. Everything will be there when you arrive. Since it’s on FB, the live chat on Friday will be there as a recorded video when you get off work. I’ll be popping in every day. I’ll see every comment. Every conversation. Come on over!
Suzie, i so need this right now. Is it in closed caption? I have a friend who has lost all of her hearing that I would love to invite.
