My marathon-running husband’s unexpected heart attack. A deep loss. Cancer for the second time. Three surgeries (one in the midst of this book release). A pandemic. Fighting, debates, and so much hope for change and yet uncertainty . . .

Okay, friends, let’s be real. This seems like an incredibly odd time to release a book on joy.

Except we desperately need it more than ever. The world needs to know that we are a people marked by joy, but how can they know it unless we find it for ourselves?

When I wrote JoyKeeper, I had just come through a year I still call “scarred.” It was a year where I found myself laying on the carpet, my face mashed in the fibers asking God for direction. For peace. For his presence. I had no idea that when I submitted this book to my publisher, that there was another journey ahead. One where I would get to live this message all over again.

I still am.

I discovered these 6 surprising truths about joy will hold us up when we need them most. More importantly I discovered joy that cannot be stolen. We don’t have to live, even when things are good, as if the other shoe is going to drop.

I’ve found that joy doesn’t always look like I thought it should. It’s deeper. It’s richer. It’s stronger. It gives us permission to feel sad. It gives us permission to let go of what is not ours to fix. It shows us where to go and whose we are, and how to truly live as a JoyKeeper and joy noticer.

I want to invite you to a special JoyKeeper book club.

It’s for anyone who pre-orders the book before July 13th. We’ll meet five days a week in the private FB group and go deep together. Each Friday I’ll host a live where we can chat face-to-face. You’ll receive a gorgeous Bible journaling JoyKeeper kit. We’ll have giveaways. We’ll laugh, cry, pray, and love each other well on this journey to joy that cannot be taken away.

What do you need to do?

All the instructions are on my website, but simply buy the book and fill out the form and you’ll receive all the instructions you need.

I believe joy is a perfect topic right now. What it is. What it’s not. How to live in it. How to be marked by it. How to show the world the promise of it. . .

Did I mention I’ll have one more surgery for breast cancer in the midst of this study? I may show up bandaged and healing, but with joy that I get to meet with you, sweet friend.

Let’s do this thing! I can’t wait to see you there.

Suzie
