When I saw the clip of the movie, Christmas with The Chosen, tears came. I can’t wait to see this movie. It’s a reminder that God loved us in such a great measure that He sent His Son for us.
One joy stealer is taking our eyes off the good news
Can I just admit that I get distracted from this beautiful message. There are many reasons this can happen. It is easy to forget what this beautiful season is truly about. It is so easy to forget why we believe, and how that has so completely altered each of us. Not because it’s not beautiful, but because we live in a season where faith feels so messy. Where life is so busy. Where hurts, hangups, and a host of other things vie for our attention.
I don’t know about you, but I’m praying for the message of Christmas to pour over my soul. I don’t want a drop here and there. I’m asking God to pour out His measure.
Cover my head. Cover my heart. Cover my life. Cover my home.
Cover me, God.
And while you are at it, cover my sister’s heart too, Father.
