Following Jesus isn’t a charmed life, it’s a changed life

by Suzie Eller | Aug 23, 2016 | Come With Me Study, Living free together

She’s comfortable in her skin. Those are the words the radio host said as she introduced me to her listeners. I want to introduce Suzie Eller, a woman who is the most comfortable in her skin of anyone I’ve ever met. I almost missed my cue. Her words took...

Chapter #9: How can I be still when my life is turned upside down? {{giveaway}}

by Suzie Eller | Aug 22, 2016 | Come With Me Study, Living free together

If you came over from Encouragement for Today, welcome! We are in the midst of a Bible study, but I want you to simply join us. You are so welcome here! Sometimes I struggle to sleep. My brain goes into overdrive. I’m truly tired, but my brain whirls...

As we go into the weekend, a prayer starter

by Suzie Eller | Aug 20, 2016 | Come With Me Study, Living free together

Let’s pray together today. If you’ve struggled with knowing where you fit, or whether you are in the spotlight or not, or struggled with the fact that God is asking you to climb out of your comfort zone, let’s pray. I’ll start and then you...
Hey, you are needed in this thing called ministry

Hey, you are needed in this thing called ministry

by Suzie Eller | Aug 19, 2016 | Come With Me Study, Living free together

They came from all over the nation. Some drove. Many flew. Some carpooled. When the arrived, we started our Come With Me journey together. I was surprised when I met some in person. All I had to go on was the small picture beside their name on Facebook or in some...

Chapter #8: Changing the world one chair at a time

by Suzie Eller | Aug 18, 2016 | Come With Me Study, Living free together

What if no one recognized your hard work? Like ever. There are lots of people whose hard work isn’t recognized. Last Sunday there were people stacking chairs in churches all across the nation. Right now there are people preparing snacks for Bible study. Someone...

That little thing that drives you crazy — that you’ll miss one day

by Suzie Eller | Aug 16, 2016 | Come With Me Study

She swept the floor like a madwoman. He was gone and his leaving created a big hole. The day before he was gone he seemed annoying. They battled over little things, all day long. Like that pesky habit he had of sweeping the kitchen floor throughout the day. All...

Instagram post 2190115788659422888_5700801224 Almost three weeks since his double bypass. Today we go to the surgeon to schedule my double mastectomy. It’s not an easy season but peace wraps, holds, and leads — and I’m grateful beyond belief. #teameller
Instagram post 2188167412741201871_5700801224 I know you are all sharing your 10-year pictures. We had a good laugh today when I realized my sweatshirt was literally 20 years old. 🙊 What is the oldest thing you still wear? Extra points if you’ve worn it recently.

Instagram post 2184970079878524584_5700801224 This morning if the enemy has lied to you and said, “this can’t be done,” remind him that you are not alone in the battle. Jesus has gone before you. He is with you. His plans for you have not gone away. Get back up, sweet friend. Put on your spiritual boxing gloves. Remind yourself that Jesus loved you enough to go to the cross for you, for you were worth fighting for. To live free: Don’t allow “hard” to be redefined to impossible. To live free together: Rip the roof off for a friend as you pray with her and cheer her on, until she finds herself in the presence of Jesus. #livingfreetogether
